Christmas 2024 is a time to be merry, to take a break from the problems and distress of the last twelve months. It’s a time to gather with relatives and friends and celebrate that God did not desert us but came among us to fill our hearts with hope. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year! To add to your merriment, here is a collection of Christmas cartoons.
But first, here is a poem about “merry”:

Christmas is a time to think of Jesus. All people think about is presents. This is not what Christmas is about. It’s about Jesus Christ that was born in a stable by the Virginia Mary. I went to Catholic School for 8 years, so I know what I am talking about. My parents could not afford many presents. Every year I would get pajamas and a toy. That was it. We would go to my Grandmother’s for Christmas or she would come over our house. Time has passed and they all passed away. I miss my Mother and Father who both passed away. I wish that someday I will see them again in Heaven. Merry Christmas.
You are right. Jesus is the reason for the season. The emphasis on presents that begins with little children could be the start of our obsession with materialism and consumerism.
