My community opened a House of Hospitality in Texas for volunteers who work with migrants. Two of our Sisters run it and distribute needed items to the migrants at the Catholic Charities La Frontera. Through these SNDs we feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, and clothe the naked. The meanness, cruelty, and violence today is overwhelming. Good, kind people still exist.

Jesus depends on us to spread the Good News of God’s love, offering the world hope and joy. Mary Kathleen, a Sister of Notre Dame from Chardon, Ohio, responds through writing, speaking, giving retreats, and teaching. Her motto, adopted from Eddie Doherty’s gravesite, is “All my words for the Word.”

Ohh, what a wonderful service these people are doing for the migrants. I cannot imagine what they ALL are going through. Bless their souls.
